American Dragon Jake Long

American Dragon: Jake Long is an American animated television series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. The series finale aired on September 1, 2007.^[1] The show currently airs on Disney Channel and Toon Disney (now Disney XD) in the United States. In the United Kingdom it also airs on Disney Channel, In India too, it airs on and Disney Channel.

Premise

Jake Long is a descendant of a long line of dragons, and it is his duty to protect the community of magical creatures secretly living among the masses in the country of America (hence the name) although most of his missions lie in New York. He lives with his parents, Jonathan and Susan, and his seven-year-old sister, Haley. His grandfather and sister are also dragons, the dragon powers having skipped his mother's generation. His father is unaware of his family being dragons.

Throughout the series Jake is taught how to use his innate magical powers by his grandfather and a 600-year-old talking, anthropomorphic Shar Pei named Fu Dog. Jake needs these powers to protect the other magical creatures of the city from various malevolent beings, most notably the villainous Huntsclan led by the Huntsman. Because he is the first American Dragon he is the protector of the magical world that lives in the United States. His best friends are Trixie Carter and Arthur P. Spudinski, with whom he skateboards. They are also aware of his secret. He is infatuated with Rose, another schoolmate who once was a member of the Huntsclan. The stories are driven by Jake's search for balance between his life as a schoolboy and his secret life as a powerful magical guardian.

Characters

Main characters

• Jake Luke Long (Dante Basco): As the main protagonist of the show, Jake is a proud and lazy yet kind and loyal skateboarder who is, in secret, a dragon. He uses his duties as a dragon to help defend the underground magical world of New York City, while continuing his training into becoming the first American Dragon. Unlike many other heroes, Jake talks in a street vernacular often involving slang. He's a big show off, but at the end of the day, he shows a strong sense of responsibility and a greater sense of maturity. It is revealed that Jake's reckless time traveling turned the Huntsman into the cruel monster he is today. Also, in "Jake Takes the Cake", Jake's middle name is revealed to be "Luke".

• Haley Long (Amy Bruckner): Haley is Jake's little sister who is quite intelligent, talented, a bit of a perfectionist, and a goody two shoes, much to Jake's annoyance. He was shocked to discover that Haley is next in line to become the American Dragon. She is currently under the guidance of Sun Park in order to learn and acquire the skills necessary to become the American Dragon. Haley tries hard in school unlike Jake. She is also quick to point out Jake's faults and make herself look superior to him. Yet, deep down, she looks up to him.

• Luong Lao Shi "Grandpa" (Keone Young): Lao, as Jake's grandfather, is a Dragon Master who teaches Jake the necessary skills in becoming a protector of magical creatures. He runs the Canal Street Electronics and in turn, uses this location as the main headquarters for all operations. His friend Fu Dog is his guardian who can create magical potions to assist in these missions. Lao's attempts at training Jake can, at times, cause more damage than help. However, Jake learns and puts into use the skills that are essential in becoming the American Dragon. The name, Luong Lao Shi, appears to be a Romanized translation of the Chinese words for "dragon" and "teacher".

• Fu Dog (John DiMaggio): Fu is a 600-year-old talking Shar Pei and Lao's only companion. Like many magical animals, Fu is able to walk upright, and has no trouble using his front paws as hands despite the apparent absence of opposable thumbs. He's particularly skilled at potion-mixing. Despite his age, he frequently keeps up-to-date with current trends and events that will occasionally put him at odds with Lao Shi. He has a Brooklyn accent.

• Trixie Carter (Miss Kittie): As one of Jake's best friends, she is sassy, vivacious, and is somewhat of a judgmental character. She is a fashion enthusiast, yet she does not necessarily partake in typical wear. In the situation of Jake and Rose's relationship, Trixie has always shown a dislike and distrust towards Rose advising Jake to be wary around her. But over time, she started to be more supportive of their relationship and even tried to help Jake move on once she was gone.

• Arthur "Spud" P. Spudinski (Charlie Finn): Spud is Jake's other best friend who, although apparently slow-witted, is actually a genius (he just doesn't want to live with the pressure of being a genius child). He owns a laptop computer that sports surveillance capabilities and other functions that assist him in the field. His philosophy is that he believes that all play and no work is just as bad as all work and no play and he wants to be the medium. He apparently has magical potential and may have a wizard heritige as evidenced by him being able to use Panderis' wand and his grandpa knowing how to seal away the genie in taranushis chalice and his grandpa telling him stories about the mermaid city. In the episode "Something Fishy This Way Comes," it is revealed that he has a fascination with the advanced mermaid city. Spud acts, and looks a lot like Jude Lizowski from 6teen. They both bend forward, wear caps, have shaggy hair, love skateboarding, and have easy going attitudes.

• Rose/Huntsgirl (Mae Whitman): Rose, Jake's primary love interest, is a member of the Huntsclan. There is a birthmark on her right palm and wrist resembling a Chinese dragon, otherwise known as the "Mark of the Huntsclan". She was born a twin, but was taken away from her family by The Huntsman. Jake eventually learns of her secret identity as the Huntsgirl and she, in return, eventually learns that Jake is the American Dragon. Contrary to expectation, Rose helped Jake throughout the show until the Huntsman learned of their relationship. After Rose's wish for all Huntsmen to be destroyed (herself included) was granted, Jake immediately wished that Rose had never become a member of the Huntsclan. Thus, resulting in a normal life for her but also meaning that their relationship had never been. However, she later learns of the relationship and helps Jake defeat the Dark Dragon. After defeating the Dark Dragon, both her and Jake start dating.

• The Huntsman (Jeff Bennett): Jake's main enemy, the Huntsman (referred to as "Huntsmaster" by his subordinates) is the leader of the Huntsclan. The Dragon Council rates him as the #4 threat to the magical community. He ultimately meets his demise when Rose's wish to destroy all Huntsclan is granted. The Huntsman was originally Rose's first guardian because of the fact that he took her from her parents as an infant which ultimately resulted in giving her the idea that her parents were deceased.

• Hans Rotwood (Paul Rugg): Jake's teacher who eventually becomes principal. He believes in magical creatures and by the middle of season two, he is able to trick Jake into revealing himself as a dragon to him. He used to be a famous professor, until his theories on magical creatures humiliated him in front of his peers, got him fired from his job, and reduced him to his current position at Jake's school. In the near end of season two in the episode "Magic Enemy #1." He attempts to make Jake reveal himself as being a dragon by humiliating him at school but by the end of the episode after seeing the magical world he is satisfied and refrains himself from further attempts in proving Jake's a dragon.

• The Dark Dragon (Clancy Brown): The number one threat to the magical world who replaces the Huntsman as the primary villain. Few dragons have faced him and lived. He feels that Magical creatures are superior to humans, and should be the dominant species of Earth instead. He appeared twice in the first season, in which he tried to get Jake to join him. He was seemingly killed in "Hong Kong Knights", only to be resurrected at the end of the second season. In the series finale, he captured Lao-Shi in order to blackmail Jake into betraying the dragons of the world. In the end, he was defeated by Jake and Rose when he was sucked into a portal where he will be imprisoned in for, according to Fu, 1,000 years.

• Sun Park (Sandra Oh): She is the Korean Dragon as well as Haley's dragon master and Jake's Home Economics teacher. She appears to be a pacifist. According to executive producers Eddie Guzelian and Matt NeGrate, Sun was originally set to die in "Homecoming", however the scene was cut for being too dark.^[2]

• Huntsboys #88 and #89 (Kyle Massey and Nicholas Brendon): Two Huntsclan students that become the Huntsman's apprentices in the second season. They were admitted into the Huntsclan because of their impressive skills in a fantasy video game (killing three dragons, a giant leech and a pack of Manticores.) . They both act brave and arrogant, when in reality, they are cowards who run in fear at the sight of a dragon. Other than Rose, #88 and #89 are the only known Huntsclan members that were left alive after Rose's wish for the destruction of all Huntsclan was granted due to them resigning. However, they made a return in "Shaggy Frog".

• Jonathan Long (Jeff Bennett): As Jake's Goofy but well-meaning father, he's a normal human who has no clue that he's married into a family of dragons. He eventually learns that his family members are dragons in the series finale and is completely accepting.

• Susan Long (Lauren Tom): Jake's mother. She does not have dragon powers, for they skipped her generation. Throughout the series, she keeps the family secret from Jonathan out of fears that he would freak out and (possibly) leave her; yet, this does not occur. However, on the last day of 12th grade, she wrote a letter explaining her families dragon powers, but never gave it to him. In one episode, Jake went back in time, took the note and put it in his dad's locker causing him to actually leave her.

• Councilor Chang (Lauren Tom): A member of the Dragon Council that was secretly working for the Dark Dragon. Her cover was blown in the episode "Hong Kong Knights" and she was imprisoned. However, in the second season, she escapes from prison to get revenge on Jake and bring the Dark Dragon back to power.

• Eli Pandarus (Jonathan Freeman): The Wizard of Wall Street. Pandarus desires to be the most powerful magical being. In season one, Pandarus is fairly cowardly, as he cowers and begs not to be hurt after he is defeated in "Eye of the Beholder". In season two, he appears less cowardly and is much more wicked, being more willing to kill his enemies or those who get in his way.

• Bananas B (Adam Wylie): The first ever "hip-hop helper monkey" who replaces Fu as Jake's animal guardian. However, when Chang escapes from prison, Bananas joins her out of fear for his life.

• Stacey Wintergrin (Tara Strong): One of the head cheerleaders at Jake's school. She is completely snobby and takes pleasure out of her status as a cheerleader; despite this, Spud is obsessed with winning her heart. As such, Stacey is often unknowingly a pawn in Spud's attempt at getting her attention, such as when Spud shot her with one of Cupid's love arrows or when Spud used onions to make him appear sensitive enough to cry at just about anything. In "Furious Jealousy", Stacey finally noticed Spud after she learned that he was creating a school dance for her.

Recess

Recess is an American animated television series that was created by Paul Germain and Joe Ansolabehere, and produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. Recess focuses on sixelementary school students and their interaction with other classmates and teachers.

Premise

The series is centered around the interaction between the six main characters of the series. Typical plots involved the group banding together in order to unravel government conspiracies, or attempting to outwit their teacher chaperones. Usually, every episode ends with one of the characters learning an important life lesson. Recess is at Third Street Elementary School, and usually focuses on the time the characters spend playing outdoors during recess. The outdoor environment of Third Street Elementary School is littered with typical playground equipment, and obscure structures (most notably the Ashley Clubhouse and the jungle gym, Ol' Rusty). During this time, the children are governed by a pseudo-monarchy, and required to conduct themselves according to a clichéd set of unwritten laws. The Show ends with the episode Halloween, which was just the third and last part of the TV Movie, Recess: Taking The Fifth Grade.

• Theodore Jasper "T.J." Detweiler

Main article: T. J. Detweiler

T.J. is the ringleader of his five best friends. He usually spends time planning pranks against the teachers at which he is quite talented. His siblings include an older sister named Becky who was seen in Recess: School's Out and was voiced by Melissa Joan Hart. T.J. has good leadership skills, and has a talent for speaking in public. He has been shown to have a crush on Spinelli in some episodes. He was voiced by Ross Malinger from 1997-1998, and Andrew Lawrence from 1998-2001.

• Vincent Pierre "Vince" LaSalle

Vince is the most athletic kid at Third Street School. He is very popular among his peers as he was elected Class President every year up until fourth grade. His older brother Chad was thought to be one of the coolest kids on the playground, until he re-visited Third Street and he was revealed as a nerd. Vince was voiced by Rickey D'Shon Collins.

• Ashley Funicello Spinelli

Spinelli is a tomboy and a wrestling fan. Spinelli hates her first name, "Ashley", because of the other 'Ashley girls'. However, she can't bear to change it because she was named after a family hero, her Great-Aunt Ashley. Both of her parents often embarrass her in front of her friends and in public and once her mother forced her to attend Ballet classes to make a girl of her; thus, she does not tolerate much interaction between her parents and friends. In the episode, "Don't Ask Me", Spinelli demonstrated her usage of Savate, a French Martial Art. Spinelli's mother at one point remarks that Spinelli has a crush on T.J., but still gives hints to the audience that she does; however, it should be noted that this assertion is never confirmed or even referred to again in the show. She has twice in the show personally gotten on the good side of Miss Finster, once when Miss Finster babysat her for the weekend and when she rescued Miss Finster's cat from a tree. In the episode "Operation Field Trip", Spinelli tells the gang about what her big brother saw at the museum they were going to visit.

• Gretchen P. Grundler

Gretchen is an academically talented and extremely intelligent and is known as "Smart Girl" on the playground. She has shown the ability to do many academic things that other students in her grade find complicated. Once one of her school projects was confiscated by the government. She is shown to have an overbite. She is also assisted by a calculator sized hand held machine called a Galileo. She was voiced by Ashley Johnson, and Galileo was voiced by Eric Idle.

• Michael "Mikey" Blumberg

Mikey is a chubby, mild-mannered, and philosophical 10-year old. He is good at playing goalie in soccer due to his height. He writes poetry, performs ballet, and believes in notions of peace that are often dismissed by the others. Mikey's speaking voice was provided byJason Davis and his singing voice was provided by Robert Goulet.

• Gustav Patton "Gus" Griswald

Gus is the newest kid in Third Street Elementary. Gus is usually naive to the rules of the playground and its traditions. Gus comes from a very disciplined military family, which caused his family to move around frequently (he has attended 12 schools in 6 years before he began attending Third Street). He is also a master at dodgeball and has never been beaten. At his old school he was known as "El Diablo" (Spanish for "The Devil"). He gave up being a dodgeball pro however, after an incident at a previous school in which he hit a small boy, causing the boy to be too afraid to ever go near the playground again. He always calls his Dad "Sir". Also, in return, Gus' Dad calls him "Private". He was voiced by Courtland Mead.

Other characters

• Muriel P. Finster

Miss Finster (voiced by April Winchell) is an assistant teacher who is the children's constant nemesis on the playground. archetypal authoritarian teacher personality, Miss Finster has a strong desire for a school in which kids aren't allowed to have fun or act like children. She is feared by all the children, and is always closely followed by her teacher's pet, the equally nefarious Randall C. Weems, who is also largely disliked by the other students. In terms of inter-personal relationships, Miss Finster has been shown to have a crush on the school's janitor, Hank and is friends with Spinelli's parents. Of particular note is that she used to have a much sunnier disposition and throughout the series glimpses of this are seen with occasional references to her experiences in Guam. Despite her old age, Finster is an accomplished boxer and is generally in excellent physical condition.

• Principal Peter Prickly

Principal Prickly (voiced by Dabney Coleman) is the principal of Third Street School and is generally a cold authority figure. However it is shown that he cares about his charges, showing leniency and kindness on occasion. He has an older brother who crops up from time to time, a rival elementary school principle, despite this similarity, Prickly's brother is significantly older and nastier. As a child he also attended Third Street Elementary, during which time he was referred to as "Petey", a name that is sometimes referenced.

• Randall C. Weems

Randall (voiced by Ryan O'Donohue) is the resident snitch of the playground. He is at the beck and call of Miss Finster, who rewards him with various confiscated items and cookies. He pesters T.J. and his pals and seems to enjoy his position on the playground. He is hunched over and almost always seen with a notepad or recording device, waiting to report trouble makers. His job as a playground snitch however has made him greatly disliked by his peers. because of this, the students have gotten wise to Randall's spying tactics, and became able to avoid him, threatening his position as Miss Finster's spy on some occasions. Whilst his parents are both relatively kind, they have also been shown to be spying and snitching on their neighbors.

• Theresa "Cornchip Girl" LaMaise

Cornchip Girl (voiced by Aria Noelle Curzon) is a sweet, loving girl who always thinks of other people and also gives people lots of useful advice. Gus is Cornchip Girl's friend and although Gus's father and Cornchip Girl's father were rivals during their military academy years, they now get along and are good friends.

• Menlo

Menlo (voiced by Blake Ewing) is Ms. Lemon's filing assistant, a very organized boy who wears a shirt and tie to school and spends most of his time inside Principal Prickly's office, rarely going outside to recess. Before the current time line he was a rowdy kid, and T.J.'s best friend. Although Menlo is sometimes an antagonist to the main characters, T.J. still attends Menlo's birthday party every year.

• King Bob

King Bob (voiced by Toran Caudell) is the uni browed current ruler of the Third Street playground and the former prankster prince, whose throne sits atop the jungle gym. He is one of the school's older students (he is in the sixth grade). Bob is regularly depicted with a number '8' hockey jersey, and carries a hockey stick as a scepter.

He rules fairly in the hopes of being remembered when he has left the school, though does occasionally take things too far, such as building a pyramid by forcing the playground to build it, but later has to apologize to those he wronged. He is said to be a 6th grader, though he appears in T.J.'s class in at least one episode.

He was known as the former Prankster Prince, a role that he personally bequeaths to T.J. after the latter pulls a prank on him. He initially grows jealous of the attention T.J. receives after gaining the role, but the two later bury the hatchet. King Bob later is shown to be quite fond of T.J., personally inviting him to a roast with the other Elementary School Kings. He later calls T.J. and the gang "his most loyal subjects."

• Earwin Lawson

Lawson (voiced by Erik Von Detten), as he is always known, is the fifth-grader archenemy of T.J. and his gang. Like T.J., he usually wears a baseball cap, but unlike him, Lawson's visor sticks out in front and he is tall and lanky. He bullies Gus and athletically competes with Vince. When against Vince he always loses but still thinks he is better than him.

• Alordayne Grotke

Miss Grotke (voiced by Allyce Beasley) is the fourth-graders' teacher. She is adored by her pupils because she is possibly the only teacher who stands up for the kids^{[citation needed]}. She performs magic tricks at clubs as a hobby. Miss Grotke loves to meditate and she has anover bite like Gretchen. When she was absent from school for a few days everyone except T.J. forgot her until T.J. presented his independent studies project, a get well card. Her hippie outlook is reflected in her appearance with her long robe-like dress.

• Ms. Lemon

Principal Prickly's old and miserable^{[citation needed]} secretary. She is always seen at her typewriter and co-ordinates Menlo's schedule. Ms. Lemon (voiced by Tress MacNeille) is a multi-divorced woman, thought to be divorced three times, that might be the reason she is so down.

• The Ashleys

The Ashleys are a secretive group of students named Ashley A.(voiced by Anndi McAfee), B.(Francesca Smith), Q.(Rachel Crane), and T.(Ashley Johnson), four gossip girls who are known to shout "Scandalous!" in unison. In the playground, their secret club house on the outside is a pile of tires, with a lavish interior.

They each also have a younger brother all equally named Tyler. Like The Ashleys, the Tylers have catchphrases which they say in unison. The Tylers say "Notorious." The Ashleys also each have a sister in Kindergarten named Britney. The Megans, who are four girls very similar to the Ashleys, were only seen in the episode "Ludicrous".

As an in-joke by Disney, Ashley A. once referred to the creators of the show by expressing her horror at the thought of dating boys named "Paul" or "Joe".

• The Kindergartners

Making up their own unique group among the students, the kindergarteners live as uncivilized and even dangerous little urchins that wearface paint, carry tribal weapons, and harass the older children. Most of them are voiced by Elizabeth Daily, Pamela Segall, and Kath Soucie. Two kindergartners are on good terms with the main characters of the show though.

• Gelman

Gelman is the chubby 5th grade bully of third street school who bullies Gus. He is voiced by Justin Shenkarow.

• Brandon the Singer

Brandon (voiced by Michael Shulman) is the boy in a red sweater and slicked back hair. He is the prized vocal performer in school. He often sings instead of speaking, much to the annoyance of his fellow students.

• Sam and Dave the Diggers

Two boys (voiced by Klee Bragger and Ryan O'Donohoe) who enjoy digging holes. They are close friends with T.J. and his gang.

• Swinger Girl

A girl (voiced by Francesca Smith)who likes to play on the swings every recess. She wears her trademark pilot's outfit.

Her ultimate goal is to swing so high that she loops the swing set bar, but has never yet achieved it. She nearly made it once, but jumped off before she made it because she left for a vacation, causing Spinelli to think that she went into another dimension.

• Phil the Woodchuck Scout

A woodchuck scout, who is known for his trademark Scout like costume. At one point, Mikey and Gus decide to join the troop and Phil puts them through extremely difficult trials to get them to give up wanting to be scouts. When the high scout master demands to know why he denied Mikey and Gus membership to his troop, he admits he likes being the only Woodchuck Scout at Third Street and yields to letting Mikey and Gus join.

• Upside Down Girl

A girl who hangs upside down on the monkey bars every recess. As a result, her pigtails always stand up.

• The Hustler Kid

Francis, the Hustler Kid (voiced by Michael Shulman), is a kid that offers the children of the playground trivial toys and food, often discreetly. Sometimes however, the items he sells are actually a scam. In one episode, Gus begins working for Hustler Kid to earn a replacement glider for the one he broke (taken out of his house without his father's permission). Gus really gets into being a hustler but starts working on his own when he and Hustler Kid disagree on selling fake hall passes (Hustler Kid insists it's against the Hustler code and refuses to sell them but Gus sees them as good merchandise). By the end of the episode, the gang figures out how to get Gus back by creating a demand on the playground for short-string paddle ball toys that he can't fill so he quits hustling for good.

• Hector

Hector (voiced by Elizabeth Daily) is a kindergartner who calls Gus "Safety Man". He was part of a group that the kids mentored. In the episode where Gus refused to wear his glasses (enjoying the new found popularity received from not wearing them), Hector was the only one who could convince Gus to wear them, insisting that he was no longer "Safety Man" without them because he couldn't see, making him careless (he almost walked out in the street in front of a car).

• Butch

Bearer of bad news and keeper of local tales of the school, he tells the kids horror stories from when his brother was in school. He has a white streak in his hair caused from seeing his brother kiss a girl^{[citation needed]}. He was voiced by Kath Soucie.

• Gordy

The only kid who does not like T.J. despite the fact that when they were in detention, T.J. tried his best to force Gordy to like him.

• Knarf

The nerd who usually hangs out in the school basement during recess with his three nerdy friends playing RPG games, reading comic books, and collecting trading cards. He is friends with T.J. whom he refers to by his name backwards as J.T. His true name is Frank. He was voiced by Eddie Deezen.

• Kelso

Kelso is the local shopkeeper of a Corner store.

• Jared

The perfect boy who can beat everyone at everything. At first everyone hates him, but then they start to like him. He appeared for only one episode because the president of the UN requested his help.

• Guru Kid

A boy who offers Buddha-like wisdom to kids who seek his advice. He wears a pair of striped shorts and his shirt on his head as a turban. Spinelli takes his place at recess one day so he can use the bathroom and starts giving advice to the kids of the playground as they ask for it and Guru Kid returns from the bathroom to find the kids like her advice more than his. However, Spinelli's combative attitude reflects in her advice to the kids and leads to an all-out playground brawl. Despite how violent the playground got however, Guru Kid did not step in for quite some time, until at least when a large crowd formed to beat up Spinelli for the advice she gave people to use against them. His real first name is Jimmy.

• Bob and Flo Spinelli

Spinelli's parents (voiced by Katey Sagal and Gregg Berger) who have the marked tendency to embarrass her in public. Also, they are secret agents, a fact unknown to all other characters.

• Tubby

Tubby (voiced by Jason Davis) is a red haired, overweight kindergartner who yet is really fast as shown in the episode titled "The Kindergarten Derby". He is one of Mikey's best friends. Upon seeing Mikey for the first time, another kindergartner asked Tubby if Mikey was his "daddy". Tubby is talented at burping. In the episode titled "The Breakup", when Spinelli became leader of the kindergartners, Tubby once scared T.J. and Randell away screaming "RUN!! RUN!!".

• Captain Sticky

Captain Sticky is the king of the kindergartners and has purple around his lips from eating candy and wears a paper crown. T.J. calls him Captain Sticky "for obvious reasons" (he saw Captain Sticky eat candy, then wipe his hand on himself).

• Conrad Mundy

Mundy is a bad kid. According to Gretchen, he's the second worst kid in the school. He makes frequent visits to the principals office. He was banned from Kelso's for stealing. Mundy's insecure due to having a gap in his teeth. His dream is to do something so rotten that it would make the news. In one episode, he became known as a nice person after he stopped a ball from hitting a few children. Despite his best efforts, he could not regain his bad boy reputation.

• Greg Skeens

Greg Skeens is known around the playground as graffiti kid. He hangs out behind the school with his four friends Lazy Kid, Mundy, Sue Bob Murphy and Kurst the Worst. He was banned from Kelso's for stealing. He is the 3rd worst kid in the school.

• Lazy Kid

Lazy Kid is a kid who hardly gets any sleep. He's the fifth worst kid in school. He was banned from Kelso's for stealing. He also caused trouble on the playground once by falling asleep right in front of the door to the kindergartners, leading them to riot. The gang moves him out of the way, quelling the ensuing riot.

• Kurst the Worst

Kurst the Worst (voiced by Mayim Bialik)is commonly seen as the worst kid in the school. She is commonly found stealing food from the cafeteria. In the episode "Kurst The Not-So-Bad", she befriended Mikey when she discovered he also liked Shaleili Sundaes (a green sundae at a local restaurant that only she and Mikey can stomach), and started to act nicer.

• Sue Bob Murphy

Sue Bob Murphy (voiced by Christine Cavanaugh) is a bad kid who is seen in the principal's office a lot. She is the fourth worst kid in the school^{[citation needed]}. Presumably, she was also banned from Kelso's for stealing.

• Señor Fusion

Señor Fusion or Fusion (voiced by Frank Welker) is a comic-book hero, loved by all the kids and even Principal Prickly. He is a hero with bullfighter's gown and mask.

• Adam Abel

The boy who is always called upon first by the teachers in school because he is first in alphabetical order, in front of Ashley A. He is usually a background character and doesn't speak, although he once commented "Why couldn't I have been born Zedidius Zwick?".

The Replacements

Storyline

The opening sequence explains that siblings Todd and Riley lived what seem to be their entire lives in an orphanage, with no explanation of what happened to their parents. While cleaning the floors, they stumbled across a Fleemco comic book. They mail-ordered a Fleemco phone (which allows them to replace any person or animal they desire) and in the process they got new parents: a female British secret agent named Agent K and a professional daredevil named Dick Daring. Whenever Todd and Riley want to replace someone, they call Conrad Fleem on the Fleemco phone via a large button. Fleemco immediately replaces the person with someone to the liking of Todd and Riley. The series follows their chaotic misadventures as they use Fleemco to attempt to better their lives in nearly every problematic situation they encounter.

Main Characters

• Todd Bartholomew Daring-Fleem - He is the lazy, trouble-making, and self-centered one of the Daring siblings. He is 11 and 12 in the first season, and 13 in the second season. He usually uses the Fleemco phone to replace people for selfish purposes. He is best friends with Jacobo. In an episode, it is revealed that Todd has a talent for singing. Riley, K, and Dick forced him to join the school choir, along with Shelton Klutzberry and the twins. Todd loves the Monkey Cop movie series as well as playing the Gamecone (parody of GameCube) video game console. He hates school, learning, and reading which forces him to replace the librarian in another episode. His catch phrases include "Don't judge me" and "Sweet." In "Ratted Out" for the first time, Todd sings the second verse to "My Rat Buddy" at the end of the episode. In season two, Todd still has feelings for Sierra after the one-time bond between the two after the parody of Star Trek club. In the episode Tasumi Unmasked, Todd formed his own one-man band and battles against the mailman for his "Game Cone 4".

• Riley Eugene Daring-Fleem - She is the older, more responsible, more naive and more trustworthy sibling who enjoys school. She is 12 and 13 in the first season and 14 in the second season. She generally uses the Fleemco phone to replace mean or unfair adults. She is a girly girl and enjoys playing baseball, playing the violin, horses, ponies, Hornet Hive Scouts, candy, and pretty much any form of sugar. At one point she was part of the Journalism staff at school. She has a crush on Johnny Hitswell and they became a couple in season 2. But in "Heartbreak in the City" Johnny broke up with her because of her controlling attitude. She has an imaginary unicorn friend named Rainbow Jumper. She gets a B average in school. She prefers playing country fiddle/country rock on the violin. She's a fan of Susie May, Dustin Dreamlake, and J.J. Baker. Riley loves reading and the library. Riley had braces when she was younger. Riley also has a mission: Get Todd to do the right thing and be selfless. Sugar makes Riley hyper. In "The Spy That Wasn't Riley" Riley tries one of her dream careers as a spy instead of a window washer that the Career Day test and the ex-guidance counselor Mr. Leslie told her to be, and almost blows up Antarctica when she stows away on K's mission to stop Dr.Scorpius, but in the end Riley saves the day even though K's mission is too dangerous. In "She Works Hard For The Movie" we learn that Riley has an Aunt Debbie and her middle name is Eugene. In "Ratted out", she started to sing the very first song of the whole series entitled "My Rat Buddy".

• Richard "Dick" Marion Daring - He is the siblings' world-famous daredevil adopted father. He is a semi-former stunt artist, and is constantly working on new tricks. He resembles Evel Knievel. He is also rather immature, and is seen having a teddy bear known as "Evel Bearnievel". He thinks that C.A.R. is his best friend, though C.A.R. doesn't see it that way. Dick bought Riley a mule named Prince Cinnamon Boots instead of a horse like she wanted. Like Todd, Dick isn't smart at all. In "The Spy That Wasn't Riley" we learn that Dick is afraid of clowns and tries to force Todd to be a stunt man instead of a circus clown for his career. In "She Works Hard For The Movie" we learn that Dick was in a movie back in the 70s. We also hear Dick sing his first true song; "Space training Montage" in "Space family Daring".

• Jane "K" Mildred Daring - Agent K resembles Emma Peel and may remind you of Anna Devane from the soap opera, "General Hospital". She is the siblings' adopted mother who is of British descent and is a super spy. From an outside view it may seem she doesn't care for her kids or husband, but in fact she loves them devotedly, even though she may express it through a recording or videotape. If something is done unfairly, she fixes it very quickly. She is seen to be a terrible cook. Her career as a spy has also made her highly suspicious of anything that is the least bit out-of-place, to the point of paranoia. In the episode Abra K Dabra!, it is revealed that she has stage fright and that her middle name is Mildred. She plays classical violin. K once took karate lessons from the evil Master Pho (Master Foe) to bust his secret evil bank robbing karate gang. Even though she's just as logical as C.A.R., she seems to favor Dick over him. Even though both Dick and Agent K are the adoptees, they still seem to be very much in love.'

• C.A.R.T.E.R. - C.A.R.T.E.R. aka C.A.R. is the high-tech family car with a British accent. He can do just about anything, but is never willing to do anything for the family, especially not for Dick. He often calls Dick a twit, but is often indifferent to him. He does not wish to let Dick drive him, presumably under the assumption that Dick's daredevil habits would cause him to wreck C.A.R.T.E.R. He prefers to use a maneuver called "The Oslo Option" to scare Dick, which consists of C.A.R.T.E.R. pulling out a large spinning buzzsaw blade from his hood. The family usually refers to him as simply C.A.R. which is most likely a parody of K.I.T.T from Knight Rider. In the episode Tasumi Unmasked, C.A.R used to be a one-man band player back when he wanted to join other one-man band members, but was kicked out for not being perfect. They destroyed his instruments. Also in this episode, he had a goatee, possibly real or not. The goatee was ripped by the other one-man band members.

• Conrad Fleem - Conrad is the mysterious owner of the Fleemco company. He processes Todd and Riley's requests whenever they call him. He has a very long mustache. In the show his face is never shown until the episode "Irreplaceble" where it is also revealed his mustache is red and not black. In a flashback of his it appears he was bullied during his childhood. At the end of the series it is revealed that Conrad is Riley and Todd's long lost uncle the tip off is when they find out he craves sugar just like Riley and say's "Don't judge me!" just like Todd after they find out conrad tells them that he will open up the replacement program to other kids so he asks riley and todd to help him.

• Tasumi - She is Riley's best friend, who is of Japanese descent and has a crush on Jacobo and kissed him revealed in one episode. She wears a metal suit which resembles Robocop.But during season two she no longer wears her suit. She claims her family is part of a crime-fighting team. (parody of Power Rangers/Super Sentai). She also has a list of people she hates. Riley is either on or off it. In the episode "Tasumi Unmasked", it is revealed that Tasumi is in fact a Japanese pop star. She moved to Pleasant Hills in order to escape the constant adoration of her fans and live a peaceful life, as Pleasant Hills was voted as the least culturally aware town in the world and she believed that nobody there would recognize her. However, in order to make sure that nobody recognized her, she wore a costume from a popular anime and used details from that anime in order to get a new history. That's the reason she always referred to things such as fighting giant monsters and so forth, but in reality, she never did anything of that sort. When her fans found out about this, she moved back to Japan for 2 weeks to record a new album until Riley replaced her band members with Orangutans and she got kicked out by her new orangutan members because she has thumbs. She came back to Pleasant Hills with Riley and no longer wears her armor, dumping it in the garbage. Under her armor, Tasumi has long black hair and a pretty face complete with a small mole.

• Abby - She is Riley's other best friend and an African-American. Even though she hates the popular girls such as Sierra, she is seen wanting to be a part of them so bad, and has a habit of telling Sierra she is cool, even though she doesn't mean to. It also seems that her parents are rich. She sometimes can be hypocritical. She has a little sister named Tiffany who dated Todd in the episode "Li'l Tiff".

• Shelton Klutzberry - Shelton is the stereotypical nerd at school. He is afraid of girls, and once had a relationship with Celebrity Star. He also has an imaginary girlfriend named Zelda (since an imaginary girlfriend is all that he can handle). He often thinks of himself as cool & calls the others nerds. He becomes very muscular and handsome when he takes his glasses off, but this is not to his advantage because he can't use contacts, and has to have heavy glasses (which causes him to appear weak and scrawny). He always seems to be where ever Todd and Riley are. He sometimes just wants to be part of the group. In one episode he is seen to have a giant pet turtle. His voice and mannerisms are greatly similar to the famous comedian Jerry Lewis's character from the movie "The Nutty Professor". When he speaks of characteristics or actions, he clarifies them by saying "with the" and adding a list of adjectives and effects (etc. "Victory is mine... with the winning, and the accomplishing, and the rubbing it in your face!"). When he gets hurt, he usually says "Hoigle!"

• Buzz Winters - Buzz is a wanna-be bully and is Todd's arch nemesis. He usually makes corny jokes then laughs at them saying "Good one Buzz!" and "I got to start writing these down!". Although he is normally a bully in some episodes they have put their differences aside and even become friends. Deep down Buzz is jealous of Todd and Riley because their dad is cooler than his dad. Buzz used to have the coolest dad in the neighborhood until Todd and Riley came along. On more than one account Buzz has been mistaken for a wild boar, although, both times, this was by Dingo McGee, on Field Trippin' and Volcano Island. He also has a taste for crabgrass. Like Todd, Buzz hates school, and he has a habit of cheating. He has many secrets including his love of the theater, and what he calls his only two shames, small feet, and ice skating.

• Donny Rottweiler - Donny is a professional bully who is much taller than Todd, but still attends his school. He is Buzz's mentor and Todd's other nemesis, he is feared because of his giant size.

• Jacobo (HA-CO-BO) - Todd's best friend who is of Mexican descent (Though his shirt has the colors of the flag of Spain). He has a funny looking mouth. Hacobo loves mystery books and has a secret talent for singing. He has a crush on Agent K. He resembles Fez from That '70s Show. He is always trying to win the affection of Agent K, but in the episode, "Irreplaceable," he started to date Tasumi and gave up trying to get Agent K to fall in love with him.

• Johnny Hitswell - He is the subject of Riley's affection and her middle school sweet heart. Even though every girl in the school is all over him, he tends to pay no attention to them most of the time, except for his annual Kumquat Day card readings. He enjoys basketball and baseball, and plays on the same baseball team as Todd and Riley. It is true that he likes Riley, because he asked her out on a date and then kissed her. But in season two he starts dating Riley as boyfriend and girlfriend. In the second season, Johnny breaks-up with Riley for being to controlling after she followed him all the way to New York with Abby and Tasumi.

• Sierra McCool - She is the popular girl at school, and is Riley's arch nemesis. She is constantly competing with Riley for the affections of Johnny Hitswell. In the second season, when Riley and Johnny become a couple, her crush on him persists, and her aim becomes to break them up so she can be Johnny's girlfriend. She has her own posse and a huge, conceited ego. She is seen to have another side in which, she is infatuated with a Star Trek parody mentioned, which Todd also likes. This forges a bond between the two, which doesn't last long when she becomes a cheerleader again.It is mentioned in the series finale that she gets her own Fleemtel Phone

• Principal Cutler - He is the principal of George Stapler Middle School. Since he is from Alaska, he allows school on major snow days until Todd and Riley changed it one time. He is also very cheap and cares about money over the students (he saves money for a vacation on tahiti), the school, and the faculty.

• Prince Cinnamon Boots - The Daring Family's pet mule. He was originally given to Riley by her father when she asked for a show horse. PCB has many talents but is often forgotten by his family after Dick says "I keep thinking we're forgetting something."

• Shelly Klutzberry - Shelton's older sister who has less appearances than her brother. She resembles her brother but doesn't change appearance when her glasses are taken off. In "Late Night With Todd and Riley" she is first mentioned as Shelton's sister and also we learn she loves Dustin Dreamlake.

[edit]Minor Recurring Characters

• Phil Mygrave - Dick's stunt coordinator and brother. He is not very good with measurements, as he doesn't use proper units of measurements, rather just "tweaking the thingy on the whatchimacallit a smidge". He has also been married six times, and has poor advice for maintaining a relationship. He was twice replaced by Riley. First when Riley felt that his setting up of Dick's stunts were unprofessional and dangerous, and nearly ruins Dick's career by making all his stunts too safe, and second when Riley tried to get Dick a better love coach, and almost ended up costing Dick his stunt secrets. His name is a play on the phrase "fill my grave", referring to his shoddy assembly of Dick's stunts, a fact only noticed by C.A.R.T.E.R.

• Gordo Glideright - Dick's stunt rival. He is always trying to steal Dick's stunt secrets. He once had Phil Mygrave as his stunt coordinator, and injured himself. He also tried to steal Dick's stunt secrets during his time as Dick's love coach.

• Dustin Dreamlake - A parody of Justin Timberlake. He once danced at Riley's 13th birthday party.

• Ace Palmero - Local news reporter of Pleasant Hills, he always refers to himself as "I, Ace Palmero". A recurring gag involves only his profile being shown on TV with the camera changing whenever he turns to face it.

• Dr. Hans Herkmer - A scientist who works for the space program. He worked with Dick Daring in becoming a Space pilot in "Space Family Daring". He also was his replacement stunt coordinator in "Jumping Mad", and almost ruined his career as a stuntman by making all of Dick's stunts too safe, and replacing him with a monkey.

• Amanda McMurphy - A hard-hitting investigator reporter who helped Riley with the school newspaper. She also got the story on how Todd's rat was able to reverse the aging process.

• Fabian Le'Tool - A professional hairdresser who gives Riley a full makeover for a dance. He also prepares Todd's hair for a press conference about Todd's reversing the aging process. There's usually a running gag that exposes the fact he wears a wig (even by himself).

• Davey Hunkerhoff - (Voiced by Zac Efron) A super hot lifeguard (and a young parody of David Hasselhoff) that Riley used to make Johnny Hitswell jealous in the episode "Davey Hunkerhoff" when he refused to notice her. However, he actually had feelings for Riley, which inevitably led to complications between the two.

• Mr. Vanderbosh - Riley's mean teacher who sent Riley to double detention after she accidentally ripped his pants, and later gave her a quadruple detention. He also sent Riley and Tasumi to the guidance office in "Best friends for never". He's usually mean at times.

• Lady Lady - A professional wrestler who settled Tasumi and Riley's feud for Todd in "Best friends for never". She got married to the Canadian Knucklehead in "Serf's up" before being interrupted by a rude guests "Abraslam Lincoln" for reasons not known.

• Wrestler announcer- He announces the wrestling matches since Riley and Tasumi's end-of-friendship argument in "Best friends for never". He announced Lady Lady's Marriage to Canadian Knucklehead in "Serf's up"

• Celebrity Starr - A celebrity voiced by Miley Cyrus, this celebrity was first found replacing Shelton's imaginary girlfriend, Zelda. She became so annoying that Shelton broke up with her. Even with that she vowed to never let him go causing him to lose his glasses making him a "complete hottie" and she broke up with him. In contrary to all that there was gossip going around that Shelton broke up with her, which he did. She returned to get revenge on the young nerd by making a movie to dehumanize him. She ended up casting Todd in hopes to woo him. In the end, Todd turned the her plan around and protected his friend. She instead made a movie to make fun of Todd.

• Splatter Train - A fictitious character in a recurring horror movie throughout the show. One of these times is when Todd has a sleepover and shows a scary movie with this character in it, (I think I can, I think I can, splatter you!), and another is in Riley's flashback where she was on a date with Johnny Hitswell at the movies.

• Tiny Evil - An enemy of Agent K. Is first mentioned in "Riley's Birthday" when Agent K convinced Dustin Dreamlake to sing at her party by telling him that she needed his help capturing "the cleverly disguised spy known as Tiny Evil". Is not actually seen until a much later episode, ("Canadian Fakin'"), where he pretended to be a boy from Canada in order to infiltrate Agent K's secret room of weapons and use them against her, on Dr. Scorpius' orders.

• Dr. Scorpius - Another enemy of Agent K. He has a scorpion tail-shaped beard and is usually seen trying to take over the world in some way. He's also known for speaking with a lisp. In one episode, he tried to destroy Antarctica with a giant laser cannon. In another episode, he was seen relaxing on a beach that Todd and Riley happened to be on at the time. In "The Rizzle", Todd finds out that he needs glasses, but Agent K thinks he has been infected with "Dr. Scorpius' Genetically Crafted Island Eye-Fog".

• Goober and T-Bone - Radio DJ's who are idolized by Todd. Throughout the show, they will make random appearances where they host radio contests, etc. Usually these contests will involve the Party Pea in some way. They were replaced by Buzz Winters in the episode "Phone-less In Pleasant Hills" when he found Riley's FleemTel phone.

• 'Puter Dude 13 - A "cool and mysterious recluse", (he's really a nerd), who runs the online interactive game, Fleemster. He was only seen in one episode where he met Todd and Riley after Todd got too obsessed with Fleemster.

• Heather Hartley - The "Her Girl" for Teen Swoon Magazine. She has an outrageous hairstyle and usually carries around her pet turtle on a leash. According to Tasumi, she was on the cover because she was famous, but she was famous for being on the cover...? Anyway, she was replaced by Riley after she finally got sick of everyone at her school emulating her, only to become the new Her Girl herself.

• Petrov - Another enemy of Agent K. Has appeared in a few episodes where he is usually opposed by Agent K and promptly apprehended by her.

• Dr. Clonemaster - Yet another Agent K rival. He was seen only in the episode, "The Means Justify the Trend", in a flashback of Agent K. The cause of this flashback was Riley attempting to confide in her mother about everyone in her school dressing just like Heather Hartley, (see above). After Riley told her about this, she fears that the evil Dr. Clonemaster is up to his old tricks again, and promptly leaves to fight him.

• Dingo McGee - The replacement sent by Fleemco when Todd got sick of an archaeologist treating them like babies on a field trip. He's an adventurous, usually reckless, explorer who plays an instrument called a Dickery Doo, which resembles a didgeridoo. He also returned in a later episode where he hosted the popular TV show, Volcano Island, in which the families of Buzz Winters, Shelton Klutzberry, and Todd and Riley Daring all competed. He possibly descends from Australia.

• Robo Fleem SGX - A giant security robot that replaced the incompetent security guard at Todd's school. However, the robot later went crazy and tried to destroy Riley when she tried to return it to Fleemco.

• Mrs. Shusher - The shush-happy librarian at George Stapler Middle School. Todd got sick of her forcing everyone to be quiet, and later replaced her with a librarian who was the complete opposite of her. She returned later in the episode when her replacement was returned by Todd and Riley.

• Gammazor, Mecha-Gammazor, and Grammazor - All supposed enemies of Tasumi. There are pictures of them on her "list" whenever she brings it out and threatens to put Riley on it. They both possibly descend Godzilla, Mecha-Godzilla, and as a running gag, Grammazor which only appeared in the episode Tasumi Unmasked.

• The Fun O' Sphere - An extremely cool and popular hangout for kids like Todd and Jacobo. It features an arcade and an international food court. Todd had his German teacher replaced in order to be allowed to go there in the episode "German Squirmin'". In another episode, Buzz bet Todd 100 Fun O' Sphere prize tickets if Todd's dad could beat his dad in the Pleasant Hills Septathalon. Todd then has a vision of him buying a giant T-Rex with his prize tickets.

• Volcano Island - An extremely popular reality show where the hottest celebrities, (including Heather Hartley, Ace Palmero, Dustin Dreamlake, and Celebrity Star) all battle for survival. In a later episode, the Winters, Klutzberry, and Daring families all competed on Volcano Island in a special family edition of the show.

• Camp Notalottadoe - A camp with a pretty self-explanatory name that Todd and Riley go to in Season Two of the show. Riley is made a camp counselor and given power over Todd, Shelton, and Buzz, but exploits this power and goes out for a night with other camp counselors, an action that leads to the aforementioned kids getting lost in the woods.

• Amalgamated Zoo Corp. Gardens - The local zoo in Pleasant Hills which is looked down upon by Riley as it is full of animals crammed into extremely cramped cages. She later replaces Hiram Smeck, a worker at this zoo (who was very underpaid), which only leads to more trouble as a result. She releases all the animals, and the remainder of the episode was spent getting them back. At the end of the episode, they went to the man in charge of the zoo, Mr. Rottswillow, who, after some coaxing, agreed to let the animals roam free on his golf course instead.

• The Royal Spy Academy - A school located in England where people learn how to be spies. This school was attended by Agent K, and is currently run by her mother, Agent B. Todd and Riley secretly enrolled in this school when Agent K's father took C.A.R. back to London with him in the episode "London Calling". They later took part in a high speed chase to get the Spyclopedia back from Clive, C.A.R.'s evil replacement, when it was taken from the Royal Spy Academy.

• Fleemco - A company founded in 1995 by Colonel Cadmus K. Fleem, which is currently run today by Conrad Fleem. Fleemco is known for its many consumer products, such as FleemSol, the Fleemer Steamer, OxyFleem detergent, Fleem Brite Toothpaste, Fleem Dream Mattresses, the FleemPod, FleemDos Computers, and Fleemsoft fabric softener. It is also known for its many online ventures, including Fleemster and FleemBay. But by far the most distinguishing characteristic of Fleemco is its ability to replace any given person at any given time, depending on the preference of its customers, of course. However, a customer must have a FleemTel cell phone in order to access this Fleemco service.

• George Stapler Middle School - The school that both Todd and Riley attend. It used to be called George Washington Middle School, however the name was changed in the episode "The Insecurity Guard" when Todd's Robo Fleem SGX intimidated his teacher into stating that George Stapler was in fact the first president of the United States instead of George Washington.

• Le Petit Formage - A French restaurant where Riley went with Johnny Hitswell on a date. Todd's parents later forced him to replace the American waiters there with real waiters from France in an attempt to make Riley's date absolutely perfect. However, this didn't turn out so well, as the French waiters never showed up, and Todd and his parents therefore had to disguise themselves as the waiters instead.

• Carlos & Ed's Tacos - A fast food restaurant that is only seen in "The Rizzle" when Todd imagines himself as having glasses. In his imagination, the sun reflects off his glasses and melts various letters off this sign so that it reads "Closed".

• Uncle Scorpion's Taco Shack - A restaurant in a Spanish country. Agent K travels here as she believes that this is a cleverly disguised hideout of Dr. Scorpius.

• Pleasant Pop Popcorn - Another restaurant in Pleasant Hills that Todd destroyed with the heat vision coming from his gigantic glasses, (only in his imagination, of course).

• In the episode "Zoo or False," while the monkeys are free, and they grab Todd, he says "take your filthy paws off me you darn, dirty apes!" This famous line is from Planet of The Apes.

• In the episode "A Maid For K," K can be heard saying "out, darn spot!" while vacuuming, in reference to Macbeth.

• In the episode "The Spy That Wasn't Riley," Doctor Scorpius finally came up in the series as a character for it, instead of only being mentioned by K.

• In one episode, Riley's "crush", Davey Hunkerhoff (Voiced by Zac Efron), is likely a parody of David Hasselhoff

• In the episode, "The Spy Who Wasn't Riley", Riley makes a reference to global warming and Al Gore's movie, when Dr. Scorpius is going to melt Antarctica, she says melting Antarctica will inundate coastal cities, and then says, "The truth a little inconvenient, for you."

• In the episode, "Hollywoodn't", as Todd walks away from Celebrity Starr (Voiced by Miley Cyrus) he says, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a hoigle." Which is the close to the famous line in Gone With The Wind.

• In the episode "The Means Justify the Trend", as Riley was running from a mob of copycat people she stopped and began to dance, as did the others, in a style parodying music video for the song "Thriller".

• In the episode "Tasumi Unmasked", the game One-Man Band Hero parodies both Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

• In the episode "CindeRiley," Riley gets ready to go to her first school dance she hopes to go with her crush Johnny Hitswell there then is a dream sequence where riley imagines she is dancing with johnny and a song that is very similar to Jesse McCartney's song Get Your Shine On.

• In the episode "iTodd", Todd and Riley gets into a fight over a computer mouse in the library, afterward Todd gets the mouse and says "My Precious", which is a reference to the character Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

• In the episode "Moustache Mayhem", the way Dick puts Prince Cinnamon Boots out and ended up getting himself locked outside by Prince Cinnamon Boots is a reference to The Flintstones

• In the episode "Puzzle Me Daring", Todd, who finished a complicated mathematical equation, found out he was in Spanish class, to which he says "Ay, caramba!". This references the fact that Nancy Cartwright, his voice actor, also plays Bart Simpson in "The Simpsons", whose catchprase was "Aye, Carumba!".
